    Here I am....
Machan, check with SLIIT they have a course for the ppl who have completed the O/Levels. I think it is called, FIIT.. you will have to go through some foundation stuff. But that will be helpful. Also, if you need to be in the IT industry, a degree is essential, so what ever you do...some how complete a degree. And don't worry.... if you have done Maths, trust me.... it will be an additional benefit when learning computer subjects.

Any way...personally, I do not believe in Degrees, HNDs make wise people in IT ... World has grown. If you have the attitude and the internet to connect with the world. Nothing can stop you.

Why u suggesting to do BIT,as there are hell lot of degrees and lot of degree giving institutes such as NIBM,SLIIT?
Is there something special in BIT rather than in IT degrees given by SLIIT and NIBM?:)

because when you doing BIT the price is low and there's lot of freedom if you can do self studies.Yes I agree the syllabus in SLITT
and NIBM(however NIBM don't know) are really good than BIT syllabus.
In BIT you get real subjects after you come to the 3rd year.So
same things for lower price, and more freedom.you don't need to
daily go to a uni or a place. You can do it by sitting in-front of your
    computer if you have ADSL.

BIT is fun more than you think man , do it.

Is FUN that much good reason to choose a degree:eek::confused::nerd::dull:
OR is that BIT has more recognition in SL comparing with other degrees given by private institutions since UCSC has involved in BIT!
Or BIT just a part time qualification comparing with BSc degrees given by SLIIT?

    get a degree

now you can get a foreign degree for cheap in sri lanka without leaving the country

if you study IT you also need to get more specialty skills

more education providers are now incorporating professional certifications in IT academic programs

programming: JAVA (Sun Oracle), .NET (Microsoft) etc.

    systems: Cisco, Linux, Microsoft etc.
