mostly cos it's just a bunch of guys sitting in a room talking be thankful it got above 8 I'm pretty sure many people turned it off saying wut the fuck after being luring into seeing it by that poster

and the usual suspects is a better movie than that ..prolly the professional too.

id give 12 angry men 10/10 any day and the reasons why it has such high ratings is that it's an old movie, when you go to see it you know wut to expect so most ppl that watch it absolutely love it ..that's not the case with man from earth. i wouldn't rate man from earth that high anyway.

most of Buddhist viewers get so excited when they discover the man is a disciple of Buddha .

Isnt it safe to assume that most of the registered people in imbd are Christians ?
And they have brought the movie this far .
And the other fact is that poster thing as Twisty said

It was a shocking experience.I never knew this one is hell of thrilling Si Fi until i finish first 15 min of it.Reminds me of district 9.But different.Recommended for all si fi fans out there.

wikipedia says, this was based on a graphic novel and what i feel abt the movie is that,
watching this movie is also like reading(/watching) a new kind of graphic novel.
u wud understand what i meant, if u've watched. that's what i love abt dat movie, even though i dnt like the story of SinCity much.
