If u dont have another PS.. Just Unplug roms n all other hards... Only keep ur Bootable hardrive where u have the OS... If you have the external VGA unplug & swich to Onboard VGA.. Then power up & see.. The problem is with the PSU... You can replace it with a good PSU.. but buy something like @ lease 500W... Otherwise ull get the same problem...

Umm unplug the rom's power supply & cables... Only give the power to the Motherboard, Auxiliary Power(4 pin near the Processor), Then ur HDD which has the OS. Power up the UPS.... Wait for like 40 seconds... Then Try powering on.. It will work..... I had lodz of experience... Same problem....

In simple, u get that tak tak sound because the power is not sufficient for the hard to function.... This is a common problem.... Im sure that you are having the powersupply that came with your casing... & its 450W correct?

    believe me brother
The tik tik sound comes when the HDD head touches the platters. You cant repair it by softwares because its a hardware error. But professional people can recover data by fixing those platters to another HDD in special air free container.

I'm a IT system administrator. So I know this issue...

You get that Tik Tik sound when you try to plug a 250GB or more external harddrive to an old PC having USB 1.0... Thats why most external hard comes with 2 USBs... one for power & other for Data n Power.....

So if u just plug one USB then u get that tik tik sound....
"rukmalranaweera" is correct thats the sound of head touchin the platter....

It can happen because of the Power Supply or as rukmal sayin that can be HDD....

So thats why i ask u to veryfy what is the prob.... Most of the time its because of PSU..
Im tellin coz i also had the same problem... with one of my PCs..
    Now its working..
    Im having 500W PSU....
