character behavior is very tricky as it can destroy the new work.
    ....

Adaptations has a lot more room for change but if its changing every aspect of the original story, then its no longer an adaptation.

    So
In some occasions remaking is likely a success creation.
All you have to do is pick well known beloved creation.

In the other hand audience could be disinterest on watching the same story with new faces :)

Your example of Robin Hood makes no sense. Both Series were adaptations of the legend of Robin Hood. The old series was actually a poor adaptation of the story as it was using a lot of Celtic mysticism. As for the BBC series, it is considered a very good adaptation of the legend and a realistic portrayal of the times.

 not to mention they have done brilliant adaption on Maryann
    Anyway
I cant believe some wise old man gave some credit for a new creation :P

A better example would be The Day of The Jackal.
The book is considered a text book in espionage as it caused very real change in the way security checks are conducted ( much like Sherlock Holmes stories changed the field of detective work). The original movie was an excellent adaptation of the book as it kept the original story intact and the high points of the story was retained and the characters portrayed accurately.
The remake (named The Jackal) only had the general plot of the story. Everything else was changed.

Well for this all I can do is nod  since I dont knw a damn thing

dunno much on how to critically review.

likes: music, tom cruise, the effort to show the bad side of the war, the confusion and frustration of people involved in the war

dislikes: some things are random like the girl who ron liked where she only comes here and there but all throughout it shows the how much he liked her, the time where ron went to mexico which doesn't seem to have much relevance

this is a good anti-war movie that shows what is called the vietnam syndrome amongst the soldiers.

    God Father

and so called thriller No country for old men
should really be found this movie as damn freaking exciting and flowing story

Loooved freeman acting as always and so the killer (Blatch who really commit the crime) who conjured me of Theodor Bagwell of Prison Break

did you even bother to watch God Father for more than 15 minutes ? the opening wedding party scene goes only for the first 15 minutes.
