well, being a critic don't give you any super human powers, and there's noway anybody can decide for certain what makes a movie excellent or just really good. and critics, just like you or I are merely human ..they are biased by their personal tastes and mindsets..you who seem to have seen a great deal of good movies here are making a great example of that by rating a doubtlessly good movie very low. same might appeal to the good ol' critics don't you think? and leon by no mean is a just above the average movie, people who rated it that high aren't just american pie fans
and, I think it's safe to say that, the ones that's likely to have enjoyed leon aren't just your average, enjoy-what-he-gets type movie fan.
well that is the idea you portray when you look down on imdb "user-ratings" against rottentomatoes and metacritics "critic" ratings
please take no offence, but you do make it look like you do want the critics to have loved it in order for you to love it.
