Home Cinema, also called home Theater, are entertainment systems that seek to reproduce movie theater quality video and audio in a private home.
The most basic system could be

◈ Standard Definition large-screen Television with at least a 27"
◈ "Home Theater in a box" 2.1 speaker system with left and right speakers and a small 8" Sub-woofer cabinet.
An expensive Home Cinema set-up might include
◈ High-Definition video format such as Blu-ray
◈ 60" High-Definition Television with a "cinema-style" 16:9 format
◈ Several 1000W Home Theater Receiver with 5 to 7 Surround Sound speakers, and a powered Sub-woofer with a 12" (or more) Driver.
The most advanced systems are 3D TV enabled home theaters making use of 3D TV sets and Blu-ray 3D players which use special glasses to aid viewers in seeing 3D movies and sporting events.
