    oh
i consider it as martine scorecse's masterpiece.Ending is what made me think its better than an average good movie. He was a hero after all. Didn't give a damn about his previous dream girl.

    De niro good movies ?

    Heat (1995)
    Goodfellas (1990)
    Midnight Run (1988)
Once Upon a Time in America (1984)
    Raging Bull (1980)
    The Deer Hunter (1978)
    The Godfather: Part II
    Mean Streets (1973)

all are very good .pick a one

okay, i think u guys have taken this thread way too seriously :P

feels like i should change my decision not to watch it again. may be after the second watch i might also call it a masterpiece?

& twisted, u are very correct on "it'z a study of his character, a well detailed one", i agree. specially the first hour or so was brilliant. but still can't have the same opinion on the ending :P

roshant, thanks for the list. i've watched Goodfellas, was real good. always wanted to watch raging bull but had no time. i will add that and Godfather II to my torrent list. :)

of course we take this thread seriously :P as a matter of fact, it's the only thread of all ek that I take with any seriousness...and that is exactly why many of us here, try to keep it's quality on the same level. you can come over here and pick a good movie to watch, I'm glad, not conceitedly, when I say that no regular poster on this thread watch crappy movies.

yeah you might like it better on the second view...and I like it's ending, it makes me happy when good things happen to that poor ol' psychopath

yeah you already mentioned that about the lack of Motivation, in case you didn't notice I've been replying as to that matter so far.

there's a clear motivation for the snipers intentions, he keeps saying that to collin farrel I dunno how you missed it, ok prolly cos it wasn't in hindi

He keep saying that he has plenty of reasons and he didn't mention any. Apparently I think you just probably guessed his reason. Gosh do you think I know Hindi right?:P

well the caller was very intriguing wasn't he? and there, another point you've missed, the initial attitude we see on collin farrel is merely pretty false wasn't that part of what sniper was working on? before I go on, have you really seen this movie ? i don't mean as in just kepts your eyes on the screen blankly.

and your big plot hole is that the police couldn't identify killers direction from the wounds? if that's your biggest plot hole, let me here some of the other holes on the plot please..oh yeah prolly cops didn't have the training that takes to do that..is it so impossible? cops in USA i don't believe as smart as many movies suggest..do you have any valid proofs as to your "cop point"?

Yeah caller was intriguing, yet his imposing style of dealing with his customers, he wouldn't have been tempted to stay in the line. Well if sniper had worked on his real attitude, then why collin farrel didn't even have clue with whom he was talking? You can't work out someone in total undercover.

Did I say it's biggest plot hole? He was shot to his back and hookers told the police that the two had a fight. Do you think that the cops are dumb asses not to identify that collin can't shoot that guys back while they fight? Well if they are not as smart as you think, then they probably come and arrest collin without questioning in a distance as in the film.:)

if you've seen shawshank redemption, regarded the best by many fans, you might spot many plot holes that atleast make more sense than that. and so pretty much yeah, I think you are discarding it for no apparent reason.

Yeah, every film got flaws which I accept. but those film has cohesiveness to carry on the film. Sorry I just can't think this film beyond 8 in IMDB. I have seen many masterpieces and this has a no place amongst them.:)

dunno ..if not, why would you still be there replying on an online forum trying to prove you right?:lol: I mean, if you don't give a damn, why prove you right? just don't lose any sleep over it :P

When someone quote my post, isn't that a good thing to reply to his questions? I'm not a genius in movies as you, yet I'm trying my best to come across with a suitable answer. That's all.

but you do have the mentality of many hindi movie fans :P

Don't rate based on a one film dude. You don't know a bit about me. BTW Wish you a happy new year!!!:) Case closed and I'm out from this film.

meh, where'd I say it was a masterpiece :P this movie, while bearing its flaws, never tried to be a masterpiece, it's not oscar type, it's not artistic, so it should be appreciated for what it is, you don't treat a movie like this the same way you treat a movie like schindlers list, you go easy on these...when people make movies like this they don't expect to win oscars. that's why you should learn to appreciate it for what it is...and I don't really recall it that well to give you a complete answer regarding very small details.

When someone quote my post, isn't that a good thing to reply to his questions? I'm not a genius in movies as you, yet I'm trying my best to come across with a suitable answer. That's all.

I'm no genius either ..I was actually just bored :P

lol I know all I need to know...

happy new year to you too man.
