Although there has been recent chitter-chatter about up-coming Canon models, I've always been fond of Sony's when it comes to Cameras.

since u asked for comments again, as i said earlier for now best valued products seems to come from Panasonic in Compact cam market.

Anyway i think best way is to try and see what are the cams available for your budget in the market (maybe visit few shops) and then get all the model names and search the internet for their reviews.

then u can choose the best for you.

because theres no 'perfect' cams, every cam has its plus and minus points. for example some camera maybe very good for outdoor pictures but might have not that good low light photos.

so its YOU who got to think considering what will you be using the cam for.
