al though alice in wonderland (not the time burton movie i haven't seen it ) is insanely surreal, you can't say pan's labrynth's anything like it ..what you might get outa it might differ from what i got outa it. it doesn't leave you with a definite answer...i know for some people it's a happy ending and for some it's a sad ending for me it was a happy ending . .

well simply put, it's like this, some times when life's too shitty, it's nice to have a place where you can hide and take a rest.. something like that, goes on in it..

watch this! it has the simple story that normally happens when a man crashes into no man's land but this is told in the perfect way. loved the two characters and how the bond develop between the two.

seen a few movies of this nature, best been Into The Wild < complete different story though. i'd say snow walker is better. pity not many people know about the movie.

winona ryder i was in love with her since i saw edward scissorhands
then nicole kidman ...it's not about the face, the acting the voice, they all add up to something better.
not so hollywood i know but, Emily Watson in the mid nineties. her slightly insane yet so adorable character in breaking the waves, still gives me the chills that I believe is the best performance by any actress.
and also kate winslet, she's got a sense of liberty and the being wild and untamed about her eyes lol...I'd have loved to see her as catherine and daniel day lewis as heathclif, if wuthering heights were made into a movie in the mid nineties...well even though it was, with ralph fiennes and julliette binnoce (or however you spell it)

The fifth seal ...it's a hungarian movie with a political undertone to it's theme, I saw it with zero knowledge in WWII days hungary...anyway it still seems to address some universal and timeless issues. it's just a few guys sitting in a bar, around a table, taLking about war and stuff like that, but the stuff they talk about explores a lot about human nature..and this movie really ask you some questions that will change your opinion about yourself ...I cant honestly answer those questions...it puts my morals into conflict...the only movie other than this to have done that to me was lars von triers dogvilles...it's wonderful when a movie can baffle you over the person you think you are...

and it's such a pity that I've only seen 3 hungarian movies including this. and all of those were masterful works of art. don't miss this if you want to know a bit more about yourself.
