this was an old jap fantasy/folklore tale made into cinema...as expected, good cinematography and natural acting were all there, and kept reminding of kwaidan which I think was slightly better..and I feel that this movie and director is widely over-shadowed by Kurosawa and his movies, I found this more entertaining than any of his movies.
and interesting fact, this is one of tarkovsky's all time favorites lmao

Well I use warez-bb, foreignmovies and worldscinema for foregin movies but they are only for file hosting sites.
For torrents I use piratebay, isohunt, asiatorrents and iraniantorrents (Iran movies). Sorry I don't know other good torrent sites for foreign movies.
Btw did you watch A band's visit. I love that movie and you'll surely enjoy it.

Isohunt sorta sucks ..it barely has any foreign or really old movies..it's good for hollywood movies though, so is pirate bay. IPT is hopeless..and I got kicked outa that site too for being idle for too long . .send me an invitation if you got any.
old european movies are the hardest to come by.
but even IPT had some criterian collection movie pack torrents..it's better than nothing..I always go for torrents...fuck old movies then.
