Machan you have not mentioned the exact error. There is a specific error "Name or Code" Like "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" OR "MEMORY DUMP" IF you could post the error with little description and the error code it will be easy to diagnose the problem

Thanks bro. I'll give it a try...

It didn't work machan. I installed it on 7 1st and tried, because I cannot log in to XP. Then because of it didn't work, I logged in to XP in Safe Mode and installed it and tried. No luck machan. Thanks anyway for the reply machan...

Machan in this case it may cause because of several reasons

    1. Cause :Low disk space in the driver whrere you install Windows xp
Solution : Boot in safe mode identify the driver which you have installed the windows xp check whether it has nessary free space : Atleast 1GB if not locate Desktop, My Documents MOVE large files to another partition. Reboot the PC (normal boot) & check

2.IF NOT SUCCESSFUL Boot from Safe Mode with command prompt(in F8 List) Type
    CHKDSK c: /F /R /X (enter)
    3. If you have installed new driver lately try to disable it in Device Manager.
Check device manager for any error symbols( ?!)

Hope you will recover, but if everything goes wrong you may have to run a "repair" for Windows using a bootable XP CD - Most probably You dont have to do this because if your windows are working in the SAFE MODE!!

    Thanks for the tips bro...

    1. Machan no problems with the free space because I've installed XP on a 15GB partition which still have a free space of 4.9GB.

    2. I tried to run CHKDSK booting from Safe Mode, but it didn't allowed me to do that saying that the partition is in use. And then it was scheduled to run on the next boot, but it didn't work coz the bluescreen came when booting.
I did a scan booting from 7, the result is OK, no errors.

    3. No new devices were installed.

Machan I burrowed a hard disk from my friend which has XP and Vista on it and tried to boot from it. The same error came when I tried to boot from XP, and Vista worked perfectly.:baffled::oo::P

    Any other suggestions machan?

    Out of Elakiri.
    Method 1

go to the registry (run->regedit) in safemode
    then go to this location
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Intelppm
In the right pane, right-click the Start entry, and then click Modify.
In the Value data box, type 4, and then click OK.
    exit->restart the computer

    Method 2

Or use a Windows XP disk and go to the recovery options then select command prompt
use this command and press enter-> restart the computer
    disable intelppm

after you've done this put the result.
    Thanks.!
