Prices of petrol and diesel have been increased with effect from midnight today (April 01), says the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation. Accordingly 90 Octane petrol will be increased from Rs. 115 to Rs. 125 per litre while 95 Octane petrol will go up from Rs. 133 to Rs. 143 per litre. Auto diesel too will be increased by Rs. 3 per litre. Also, the kerosene price has risen by Rs. 10, to Rs. 61 per litre, said the CPC.

    Machan, World market fuel price also gone up for a record high yesterday.

    Since we don't have oil in Sri Lanka yet, we can't do anything other than increasing the price. No point of scolding Mahinda or government about this.

    Although I also don't like the price increase personally, That's the reality we must understand.
