Can anyone guide me to buy my first digital DSLR camera

Hi, i am looking to enter the world of photography. so i have decided to buy a good dslr camera. I have no idea about which brand to buy. can anyone guide me to buy a good dslr camera? Thanks.
this is my first post and i hope i have come in to the right place.

you could try a nikon, they have some pretty good stuff or if you have the bucks, go for a sony itself..

Go for a Nikon. That's the only brand suits Sri Lanka and very well accepted by professionals too. You will find it easy in post purchase activities like repairs, services with Nikon since it is well established in Sri Lanka as a DSLR brand..

With regard models, try something like D3100. It is a very good entry level DSLR. If you are with a good budget it's worth trying for a D90 too...

NO. You have to buy specific lenses with motor built in with them (FYI there are so many) and that's only if you are going for further lenses.

but if you are referring to auto focus feature, it is there.
