Yesterday, three fighter jets and one fuel tanker landed at Katunayake to refuel. These planes are part of a deal where Indonesia ordered 42 Rafale fighter jets from France. The first three jets arrived in Indonesia in late January 2026, and these three are the next to be delivered.
This was a great opportunity for Sri Lanka. By selling 100,000 liters of jet fuel to these four aircraft, the country made a high profit in just one day. This is the largest refueling deal recorded in Sri Lanka's recent history.y
