IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

This message is regarding the introduction of Value Added Tax (VAT) in Sri Lanka on all Electronically Supplied Services (ESS) provided by non-Sri Lankan suppliers to Sri Lankan customers not having VAT registration.

Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWSI) will start charging on invoice and collecting Sri Lankan VAT at a rate of 18%, from all the customers in Sri Lanka who are not registered under VAT or have not provided their VAT registration details to AWSI. The exact date from which VAT will be charged will be communicated to you in a subsequent notice. No VAT will be applied until that date is confirmed.
This change will impact your invoices for purchases of AWS cloud services and on the AWS Marketplace transactions.

ආණ්ඩුවක් උනාම Startup Promote කරන්න ඕන.
දැන් ඉතුරු උනුත් ලංකාව දාල යනව. Vehicle Tax නිසා සෙට් එකක් ගියා. Political Brainwash වෙලා සෙට් එකක් ගියා. ඉතුරු වෙලා Freelance කරන Startup කරන සෙට් එකත් යනව.

IT වගේ ලොකුවට input VAT නැති area වලට ඉස්සරහට කොහොමත් VAT එක අඩු කරයි කියල හිතෙනව. ඒකට VAT net එක වැඩි කරගන්න වෙනව එකටම.

VAT threshold නැතිව හැම කෙනාම අනිවාරෙන්ම VAT ගෙවුව නම් ටික කාලයක් යද්දි ඕක 8% ට වගේ ගේන්න පුලුවන් වෙයි. ඒක රටටත් හොදයි. අපිටත් හොදයි.

උඹට පඩි ගන්න මනුස්සයත් එක්ක මොකක් හරි arrears එකක් තියෙනවද?
මගේ පඩිය 385,000. tax එක විදිහට 44,000 කැපෙනවා. උඹ කියන්නේ ඒකත් මදි තව කපන්න ඕන කියලද? අපි පඩි ගන්නේ නිකන් ඉඳලා නෙවෙයි. රෑ දවල් නැතුව මහන්සි වෙලා. එත් ඔය පඩියෙන් උඹ හිතනවද මම luxury life එකක් ගත කරනවා කියලා.
අපේ bonus වලින් කැපෙන tax ගැන ඇහුවොත් උඹලා පුදුම වෙයි.
පුදුම කට්ටක් කාලා ජීවිතේ මේ ගානට ගෙනාවේ. VAT එකයි PAYE tax එකයි පටලව ගන්න එපා.
