පරණ නඩු තීන්දුවක විස්තර දැනගන්න විදියක් තියෙනවද? අපේ family එකේ පරණ නඩු තීන්දුවක් ගැන විස්තර දැනගන්න ඕනි. ඒක වෙලා තියෙන්නේ ගොඩක් කාලෙකට කලින් 1948-1950 වගේ කාලෙකදී. එකේ දෙන්නෙක්ව ගෙදර නිදාගෙන ඉන්නකොට ගෙදරට ගිනි තියල මරලා. මරණ දඬුවම හම්බවෙලා තියෙනවා කරපු මනුස්සයට. ඒ කාලේ මේ වගේ නඩු අඩුවෙන්නේ තියෙන්න ඇත්තේ. දැන් ඉන්න කවුරුත් මේ සිද්ධිය ගැන හරියට දන්නේ නැහැ. මට harima interesting ඒ කාලේ මේ වගේ දේවල් හරිම අඩුවෙන්නේ වෙලා තියෙන්නේ. මේ වගේ පරණ දෙයක් ගැන දැනගන්න විදියක් තියෙනවද?

I know the Names of my family members. Dont know the name of the culprit. Area is Meegoda(Homagama)
Only limited number of cases with importance delivered by SC and CA are reported. So not a good option unless it was appealed to CA.
Murder cases were heard in High Court and if not appealed the judgment stays with High Court Registry where it was delivered unless the records were archived or destroyed. Approach relevant High Court Registry and request a copy and if you are lucky you may get it it ! More details can be found from news papers of that time and these are available in National Archives and also National Library(access limited)

This happened for my grand grand parents. The correct conviction has been given and this is solely for my curiosity. So seems like we need to put more effort and dig deeper

some courts have excellent record keeping of old records just try the relevant HC . History is important and good to preserve it as people have very short memories in Sir Lanak!

Thanks machan. I will try this. There is no one that knows much about this incident. My grand parents have not passed those details to the next generation. Seems like this has happened before 1948 too, might be early 1940s. So it happened when we were British Ceylon. Once I heard this incident it intrigued me to have a look at it. First it has affected my family and second it was under the British rule
