    Monitor Problem

    Degauss doesn't work? Then you're screwed mate. If its under warranty send it in or there's nothing much you can do. But first try removing magnetic stuff like speakers from the area around your monitor and then degauss and see if it works.

    Yeah but its so worth it. Besides if he's going for an all out upgrade and he can afford a Phenom, I'm pretty sure he'll be able to afford a i7 rig. I mean you don't HAVE to get a i7 965 (though it is so sexy), the 920 is pretty cheap. Anyway, we all know that i7>Phenom :D.

    Dude, the 6600 is ANCIENT. I can't believe you have such an awesome monitor with such a crap VGA (no offence). My opinion is to keep the monitor and sell something else, that's what I would do if I were you. I mean 24" is just too darn lovely to give up :P.

    Ahh, that sucks. Guess I'll stick with the 8600GT for now and save up to upgrade later on. Plan on maxing my RAM first and then going for a VGA upgrade. Hopefully I'll get my card back tomorrow (like the said) :). Oh and btw, how do you pronounce 'bhai4uanu'? Baffled me when I first read it.

    Monitor Problem

    Go to your monitor's settings and degauss the monitor until everything is back to normal. This has happened to me before and degaussing has always fixed the problem.
