    excellent news!! you can pick a bargain price for a used dslr on eBay and get from Kapruka global shop, or try some of the local classifieds if you are in a hurry. If you are getting canon, there is a software to check shutter count. Nikon also probably though I am not sure. try to get 18-55...

    it is to prevent dust falling on camera sensor. when you point camera downwards less likely... Of course, then dust falls on inside of lens :-(

    I suggest: - Get the cheapest camera body - Get reasonably good lenses. If you have money to spend use it for lenses. - spend maximum effort and money on improving your skills. remember, a good photo is made by a photographer, camera is just a helpful tool.
