    You are underestimating Pakistan's military capacity. Pakistan provided Sri Lanka with arms and ammunition to fight the LTTE, while fighting the Kargill war back in 1998/99. Sri Lanka won the war because of Pakistan's and China's help. India only tried to prolong the problem.
