    No personal experience bro.We have a cocker spaniel.But I have heard that they tend to get leg problems when they run on tiled floors.Eg-if your staircases and floors are tiled.By the way since the lab is a big dog I guess you should have a fairly large garden.

    Try the Sunday observer or go to a vet clinic near your house they usually have notices pined up if there are any dogs for sale.

    Will scan my cd and let you know. But I dont think that is the problem cause I got an original copy of ubuntu 6.06 from a friend yesterday and that also did not boot anyway will try what you suggested and let You know.

    Thanks for your input bro.Will try what you suggested.So far I have tried 3 versions of ubuntu with the same result(got 6.06 from a friend)Every time I tried to boot using the live cd option.I also tried booting linux mint from a pen drive with the same result.

    Ok just tried it same error this is what I get- 182.100.22 ata7.01 status {DRD} ata7.01 Exception Emask 0x0 sact 0x0s Err oxo action 0x6 frozen -Something like this.But always follows the same form
