Because it is nothing like an actual Omega. It`s basically a plastic (ceramic/plastic alloy) casing that looks similar to a Omega Moonwatch (Speedmaster). Swatch group owns Omega so they put the "Omega" name in there. The release is basically a great marketing/PR stunt

My Omega seamaster 300m.

One of the all time classics by Omega. My only gripe with this model is the useless Helium escape valve that destroys the design symmetry of the watch. They should at least offer an option without the valve IMHO.
