    "
The series opener, scheduled for Sunday, is unlikely to be called off, according to BCB officials. But there is talk in the Sri Lanka camp about bringing the team home, with medical professionals on the Sri Lanka side unhappy about aspects of the bubble that has been set up for them. Sri Lanka are especially wary as they have a limited-overs tour of England coming up in June, as well. At any rate, they are currently awaiting the results of a second RT-PCR test.

Of the three who have tested positive, one has already had Covid-19, so his result is believed to be a false positive, and of little concern. The coach - who is the oldest of the three to test positive - has also had both doses of a Covid-19 vaccine. In fact, everyone in the Sri Lanka touring party has had at least one dose of a Covid vaccine, which means that chance of serious illness should be low. The breach of the bubble remains concerning for them however"

The first ODI between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will go ahead after two of the three members of the Sri Lanka contingent who tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday night returned negative tests on Sunday.
