අපේ පරිඝණකය ආරක්ෂා කරගමු..

පරිගණකයක් භාවිතා කරන අප සැමගේම ලොකුම හිසරදය නම් පරිගණකයට වින කරන හානිකර පරිගණක වැඩසටහන් වලින් ගැලවීමයි. මේවා malware, viruses, key loggers හා worms ආදී ආකාරවලින් අපේ පරිගණකයට පැමිණේ. දිනෙන් දිනම නවතාවයට ලක්වෙමින් දහස් ගණනින් පරිගණක ලෝකයට එකතුවන මේ තර්ජනයට මුහුණ දීමට නම් අපේ පරිගණකයත් හොඳම තත්ත්වයේ ආරක්ෂණ මෘදුකාංගයන්ගෙන් සන්නද්ධ කළ යුතු වෙයි.නමුත් මෙහිදී පැන නගින ප්‍රශ්ණය වන්නේ හොඳ තත්ත්වයේ ආරක්ෂණ මෘදුකාංගයන් මිලක් ගෙවා ලබාගත යුතු වීමයි. නමුත් වාසනාවකට මෙන් දැන් Open Source හා නොමිලේ දෙන (Freeware) මෘදුකාංගයන්ගේ දියුණුව නිසා මුදල් ගෙවා ගන්නා මෘදුකාංගයන්ට නොදෙවෙනි ආකාරයේ සේවාවක් ලබා ගත හැකි නිදහස් මෘදුකාංග ද පවතී. මෙම ලිපියෙන් සලකා බැලෙන්නේ අපගේ පරිගණකය හානිකර වැඩසටහන් වලින් හා දත්ත හානි වලින් ආරක්ෂා කර දෙන, නොමිලයේ සේවාව ලබාදෙන්නා වූ හොඳම ආරක්ෂණ මෘදුකාංග කීපයක් ගැනයි...


ප්‍රති වෛරස මෘදුකාංග




නොමිලේ ලබාදෙන ප්‍රති වෛරස මෘදුකාංගයන් අතර පෙරමුණ ගෙන සිටින්නේ Avira හා Avast යන මෘදුකාංග ද්විත්වයයි. මේ මෘදුකාංග දෙකම ක්‍රියාකාරීත්වය අතින් එක සමාන ලෙස කාර්යක්ෂම වුවත් Avast මෘදුකාංගය හැසිරවීමට වඩාත් පහසු ලෙස නිපදවා තිබේ. විශේෂයෙන්ම නව තාක්ෂණය සමග ඉක්මනින් මුහු විය නොහැකි වයස්ගත පරිශීලකයන් සඳහා එහි අතුරු මුහුණත හොඳ සහයක් දක්වයි. කෙසේ වුවත් Avira මෘදුකාංගය අඩු RAM මතකයක් සහිත පරිගණකය වුවත් හොඳන් ධාවනය වන අතර Avast මෘදුකාංගය ධාවනය වීමේදී තරමක් බර (heavy) ගතියක් පෙන්වයි. නමුත් Norton, McAfee වැනි මුදල් ගෙවා ලබා ගත යුතු ප්‍රතිවෛරස මෘදුකාංගයන්ට වඩා හොඳින් මේ මෘදුකාංග ක්‍රියාකරයි. පහත ලිපිනයන් මගින් මෙම මෘදුකාංග ද්විත්වයම අන්තර්ජාලය හරහා නොමිලේම බාගත කරගැනීමට හැකියි.

මැල්වෙයා ආරක්ෂණ මෘදුකාංග




Anti-Malware වර්ගයේ මෘදුකාංගයන්ගෙන් නොමිලේ ලබාදෙන හොඳම මෘදුකාංගය ලෙස සැලකෙන්නේ Malware bytes’ නම් මෘදුකාංගයයි. සියළුම හානිකර වැඩසටහන් සොයා බලා විනාශ කිරීමට මේ වැඩසටහන සමත් වේ. මෙය වේගවත් හා කාර්යක්ෂම ලෙසින් ධාවනය වන අතරම ඔබගේ පරිගණකය හානිකර වැඩසටහන් මගින් ආක්‍රමණය කර ඇති විටකදී වුවත් ධාවනය කර හැකියි. එහිදී එම හානිකර වැඩසටහන් විනාශ කර දමා පරිගණකය නැවතත් වැඩ කළ හැකි තත්ත්වයට පත් කිරීමට මෙම මෘදුකාංගය සමත්වේ. මෙය පහත ලිපිනයෙන් නොමිලේ බාගත කරගැනීමට හැකියි.

ස්පයිවෙයා ආරක්ෂණ මෘදුකාංග

අන්තර්ජාලය ඔස්සේ පැමිණෙන තවත් අනතුරක් වන්නේ වෙනත් පුද්ගලයන් විසින් අපේ පරිගණක ක්‍රියාකාරකම් නිරීක්ෂණයට යොදාගන්නා ඔත්තු බලන (Spyware) මෘදුකාංගයි. අපේ අනුදැනීමක් නොමැතිව පරිගණකයේ පැලපදියම් වන මේවා අපටත් හොරෙන් අපේ තොරතුරු වෙනත් පාර්ශවයකට යොමුකිරීම සිදුකරයි. මේ නිසා බොහෝ අවස්ථාවලදී අන්තර්ජාල සම්බන්ධතාවය මන්දගාමී වීම හා පරිගණකය අකාර්යක්ෂම වීමේ ලක්ෂණ දැකිය හැකියි. මේ සියළුම ආකාරයේ ස්පයිවෙයා මෘදුකාංගයන් ඉවත් කර ගත හැකි නොමිලේම ලබාදෙන වටිනා මෘදුකාංගයක් වන Spybot මෘදුකාංගය මේ ලිපිනයෙන් ලබාගත හැකියි.

ෆයර්වෝල් (Firewall) මෘදුකාංග



නොමිලේ ලබාදෙන ෆයර්වෝල් මෘදුකාංගයන්ගෙන් හොඳම මෘදුකාංගයක් ලෙස Comodo Internet Security යන මෘදුකාංගය හඳුන්වා දිය හැකියි. මේ මෘදුකාංගය ප්‍රතිවෛරස මෘදුකාංගයක් හා ෆයර්වෝල් මෘදුකාංගයක් යන කොටස් දෙකකින් සමන්විතයි. අවශ්‍ය නම් ෆයර්වෝලය පමණක් භාවිතා කරන්නටද මෙහිදි අවස්ථාව ලබාදී තිබේ.

බැකප් මෘදුකාංග




වෛරස ප්‍රහාරයක් නිසා ඔබේ පරිගණකයේ වින්ඩෝස් මෙහෙයුම් පද්ධතිය පවා අකර්මණ්‍යව ගොස් පරිගණකය Boot කරගැනීමට වත් නොහැකි වී සිටින අවස්ථාවක ඔබගේ පිහිටට එන, නොමිලේ දෙන විශිෂ්ඨ මෘදුකාංගයක් නම් Comodo Time Machine මෘදුකාංගයයි. මෙවැනි අවස්ථාවකදී අපගේ සිහියට එන්නේ අපගේ වැදගත් දත්ත නැවත ලබාගන්නේ කෙසේද යන ගැටළුවයි. මෙහිදී Comodo Time Machine මෘදුකාංගය වින්ඩෝස් හි ඇති system restore මෙන් ක්‍රියාත්මක වෙයි. මෙම මෘදුකාංගයේ ඇති විශේෂතම ලක්ෂණය වන්නේ එයට වින්ඩෝස් මෙහෙයුම් පද්ධතිය Boot නොවුනත් තනිවම හෝ ධාවනය වී අදාල බැකප් කිරීම සිදු කිරීමට ඇති හැකියාවයි.

දත්ත නැවත ලබාගැනීමේ (data recovery) මෘදුකාංග

පරිගණක පද්ධතියක් මන්දගාමී වීම සඳහා ගොනු Defrag වීම බොහෝ බලපායි. මෙම වර්ගයේ මෘදුකාංග ගැන කථා කිරීමේදී නිතැතින්ම සිහියට නැගෙන්නේ වින්ඩෝස් මෙහෙයුම් පද්ධතිය සමග ලැඛෙන Disk Difragmenter මෘදුකාංගයයි. බොහෝ අවශ්‍යතා සඳහා එය හොඳටම සෑහෙන නමුත් එහි ඇති මන්දගාමී ස්වභාවය තරමක අවාසියකි. නමුත් Smart Defrag මෘදුකාංගය මගින් මේ කාර්යය වඩාත් වේගවත්ව සිදු කරගත හැකි අතර එය පසුබිමේ ධාවනය වෙමින් සේවාව සපයයි. Oh! my dear crazybuddy... Just look into this;


Anti-Virus:
The only Open-Source Anti-Virus program available in the world up to now, is CalmWin Anti-Virus (This is not recommended for use as it's still under development).
All others are Freeware.

Avira Anti-Virus = Poor detection and total failure over virus removal. Scanning misses most of the infections and leaves them alone in the computer. Poor protection.

Avast Anti-Virus = Average detection and removal. Slows down the computer like nothing and sometimes malfunction or stick due to system errors that may cause to format the computer. Fair protection.


Anti-Malware:

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware = Average detection but very poor removal. Scanning misses some infections and leaves them alone in the computer. Average protection.


Anti-Spyware:

Spybot Anti-Spyware = Good detection and removal. Stability issues of the program including installation errors and confusions of spyware removal. However, scanning misses a bit of infections and leaves them alone in the computer. Good protection.


Note 1 - all programs above are high in False Detection (False Positives = indicates secure files as insecure / False Negatives = indicates insecure files as secure)
Note 2 - None of the programs above is perfect when detecting and removing viruses/spyware/malware and cleaning up the computer.


Firewall:

Comodo = Not user-friendly when operating the program. User should be expert to make changes of the settings with care, as they are very complex to follow.
Blocks everything without inspecting whether it's good or bad so user has to decide whether allow or deny them.
Manually operating a Firewall hassles the user so it's a weakness of the program.


Note that when any of the programs above is installed into an already infected computer, viruses/malware/spyware can infect the program too and keep it under-control so it might behave as a subordinate of the virus/malware/spyware and helps to spread the infection throughout the computer, in stead of protecting the computer.


Backup Softwares:

Comodo Time Machine = Very useful to restore Windows or backup data when your Windows is suddenly stuck due to some fatal error caused by harmful programs that you can't boot the computer to use the System Restore in Windows as it can boot your computer by itself so you can restore Windows to the last working state using the Restore utility as well as backup important data stored in your hard disk.


Data Recovery Softwares:

Recuva = Very useful to recover something you accidentally deleted or forcibly deleted by some harmful program as it recovers all data stored in your hard disk as well as data stored in external storage devices so you can undo any deletion.



However, if your computer is already infected, none of the above helps you to remove the infection from your computer or disinfect your computer.
So, I will post a thread soon, explaining you how to perfectly detect, remove and disinfect your already infected computer and roll-back your computer to the state before the infection, without having to format the hard disk. It's very easy.
