We should have used those funds for foriegn income generating investments.  Our bigger issue is our imports are twice as our exports. Loans we can rollover and pay if we have increased out revene (ie exports or turism revene)Im just pointing out ur wrong logic in paying tax in SL Rupees and buying goods imported using USDs.  And saying you are not part of the probelm.I know all the previous government should bear the responsibility. But you are are (including me) are part of the probelm.Just see how many try to make a quick money by importing cheap goods ( even water last year) and selling here ?</blockquote>
