With help of nato planes ,range is up to 250km ,so it can launch from outside of Ukraine .who knows did they just used original version instead export one that has more than 500km range.

may be they secretly upgraded their Su-27s or Su-24s for this task long ago.

This might be possible.. but thats way more work for decades old fighters.. like retrofitting air bag into a morris minor kinda work..
