No matter who came to power if you are poor then you would be the victim.
No matter that you are Sinhalese or Muslim or Tamil.
I instead want to use Mahinda. I think he is the bad guy of Sinhalese community.
He would do the crimes for us. He is the war criminal and there are no blood in our hand. We Sinhalese are against Mahinda and his crimes done to Tamil people but somebody have to done the
SHITT. But in that case we are silent.
If a drunken man came to your door step with a gun to kill you, but before he kill you , your dog came and byte that guy and injur him critically. What would you do? Take the side that drunken man against your dog?
And about education , it's almost privatized.
And about jobs and opportunities , They were offered only to people who have political support.
It's completely your personal effort if you want to survive. Private sector or your personal investments.
So that's why I always told , Sinhalese are not good in leadership, because bad guys among us could only shout and win. In other words what they do is the DOG's job.

Just don't care. Complete your education , job, or experience then you would find a good job anywhere in the world. The concept called 'Sri Lanka-one country' it's over.
