Here let me put it simply for you, like as if you are a mentally retarded 2 year old;
1. If Ranil didnt take ISB excessively we could have weathered the Covid, just like many other similar troubled countries with heavy external debt
2. At present, it is the ISB private held bonds that are being restrutured. The govt to govt long term debt was not a major issue and some were paid even during the default period
3. Why are Ranil's ISB bonds diffucult to pay? Because they are high interest and needs to be paid back in a relatively short duration. And these are mostly private investors. This is why we had much so trouble negotitaing restructuring.
Root cause is your beloved Ranil (amoung many others). Lets not forget that Ranil is the one that sold the HB port for a song, allowed his pal arjun mahendra to clean up central bank and run laughing all the way to SG.

Wrong. It's because we exhausted our foreign exchange reserves (due to inexperience in handling the situation) and didn't have the required funds to place orders.

Foreign exchange reserves exhausted becasue we had to pay back the high interest loans that mainly Ranil took. You remember the time when we had to choose either defaulting or paying for a fuel shipment. Had our debt been sustainable, we could have still paid back, just like many other countries with large debt. Even Pakistan scraped through the covid period.

Wrong again. Foreign exchange reserves exhausted mainly due to covid, easter bombings (loss in foreign remittances and tourism income) and the stupid actions of the then governor Ajith Cabraal.

Say you brought a faulty tire from a crooked merchant (Ranil in this case) and the bad road conditions made the tire blow up faster (Covid ect ect).

Wrong again...An experienced driver would "patch" the tyre so that the vehicle could run smoothly for as long as possible, given the limited resources and not wait for it to blow up. Maybe at the time, going for a faulty/used/low-quality tyre was the only viable option.
In your arguments, you are conveniently ignoring the fact that the tyre was once again "patched" in record time after 2022.
