    1. You advocate authoritism (WTF!)
    2. You voted for Ranil who is considered the most crooked politician and a criminal in the history of this country (and this is getting even most clearer each day, much to the chagrin of his ardent supporters)
    3. You support SJB, lead by a narcistic clown and and consists of mostly ex-UNP crooks
    4. You view those who voted for different political parties as those who are having "double standards" - in which case most of the sri lankans have "double standards" too

Your view of politics is backward and rediculous.

And you think you are qualified to dispense "advice" too. Any manda bung.

    Frankly I dont care.

I dont think he was absent, just that he didnt drag his family in to the festivities, which is a welcome change

Ranil took ISB loans excessively in such a scale that ISB component in total debt was increased from 12% to 50%. That is the single biggest reason for SL bankruptcy.

memory loss is yours, not mine

Bankruptcy wouldn't have happend if not for covid. But even with covid, if someone with experience was at the helm, we could have avoided it - like how we recovered in 2 years when the leadership changed.

Stop buying stories from the rathu mallila.....6 months into power and the biggest crooks on earth are still roaming around celebrating avurudu and giving unsolicited advice on how to run things.

See putha, you are displaying your obvious lack of grasp in financial matters

    Here let me put it simply for you, like as if you are a mentally retarded 2 year old;

    1. If Ranil didnt take ISB excessively we could have weathered the Covid, just like many other similar troubled countries with heavy external debt
    2. At present, it is the ISB private held bonds that are being restrutured. The govt to govt long term debt was not a major issue and some were paid even during the default period
    3. Why are Ranil's ISB bonds diffucult to pay? Because they are high interest and needs to be paid back in a relatively short duration. And these are mostly private investors. This is why we had much so trouble negotitaing restructuring.

Root cause is your beloved Ranil (amoung many others). Lets not forget that Ranil is the one that sold the HB port for a song, allowed his pal arjun mahendra to clean up central bank and run laughing all the way to SG.

You my dear fellow is praising a politician that first threw the country in to the fire and then claimed to rescue us.

So yeah, your political knowldge is equivalent to a 5 yeal old kid. Just saying rathu sahodarayas blah blah blah doesnt make your Ranil any better.

    ane pako...engirisi therenne nadde?

The ISB's were to SETTLE PREVIOUS DEBT and keep operations running smoothly.
kohomath lankawe rolak tamai yanne - with the hingana dependant mentality....most of our govt spending is on subsidising services.....

Things wouldn't have lead to bankruptcy if not for the inexperienced handling of the covid situation.

Do you know what lead to the fuel lines, power outages etc..? How the fuck does ranil come into power and things turn around in 2 years?

    Now now son, temper temper.

the fuel lines, power outages were BECAUSE of Ranils actions in the past. Using high interest loans to settle previous loans would obviously make debt unsustainnable, which is EXACTLY what happened. So much for your economic Whiz Ranil

You say Ranil restored normalcy is infantile - It was not Ranil who had to pay for the past action of his sins - WE did, Our children became malnourished, stopped schooling, lost jobs - as hyperinflation and draconian conditions of IMF set in. WE paid, not Ranil. RAnil and his109 advisors had the time of their life jaunting in foreign trips while WE paid.

Wrong. It's because we exhausted our foreign exchange reserves (due to inexperience in handling the situation) and didn't have the required funds to place orders.

aney ammo, dude, :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Foreign exchange reserves exhausted becasue we had to pay back the high interest loans that mainly Ranil took. You remember the time when we had to choose either defaulting or paying for a fuel shipment. Had our debt been sustainable, we could have still paid back, just like many other countries with large debt. Even Pakistan scraped through the covid period.

Wrong again. Foreign exchange reserves exhausted mainly due to covid, easter bombings (loss in foreign remittances and tourism income) and the stupid actions of the then governor Ajith Cabraal.

I will further simplify it for you

Say you brought a faulty tire from a crooked merchant (Ranil in this case) and the bad road conditions made the tire blow up faster (Covid ect ect).

You are blaming the bad road, I blame the crook that sold you the faulty tire

PS : If our debt was sustainable, we could have endured all of your above reasons (Covid, Cabral, Easter bombings). Ranil MADE our debt UNSUSTAINABLE. It is HE who should be blamed mainly, amoung many other things.

Wrong again...An experienced driver would "patch" the tyre so that the vehicle could run smoothly for as long as possible, given the limited resources and not wait for it to blow up. Maybe at the time, going for a faulty/used/low-quality tyre was the only viable option.

In your arguments, you are conveniently ignoring the fact that the tyre was once again "patched" in record time after 2022.

Why buy a faulty tire in the first place?

Ranil has been a faulty tire since 1977
    1977 youth affairs minister
    1980 éducation minister
    1989 industrial affairs minister
    1993 prime minister
    2001 prime minister
    2015 prime minister

You think this tire is going to suddenly work now?

3 times PM and once President, he had enough time to make sri lanka a great country to live in. He didn't. Look at Elakiri - how many young educated people opt out of the country becasue they dont see any future here. This is the country Ranil gave us. So screw Ranil.

You keep messing up your points. Earlier you equated the ISB's to the faulty tyre and now you claim the faulty tyre is Ranil. In this reply, I am going to go by the fact that the crooked merchant is Ranil.

A faulty tyre maybe an option due to the simple fact that beggars can't be choosers. Got to deal with the card you've been dealt with or in other words "rolak gahanda" wenewa....

The crooked merchant somehow did "magically work" in 2022 - a fact you keep conveniently ignoring.

As for the rest of your points about why SL isn't a developed country yet, we would need an undemocratic leader like LKY to remain in power for 2-3 decades and enforce stringent policies/laws that would typically lead to him being voted out in a proper functioning democracy.

Ranil has been in parliment before we were even born!.

He had all the time in the world to make sri lanka in to the next SG.

Instead what did Ranil and UNP do? In 80's killed Tamil civilians, burned their library, started a 30 year old war with LTTE, then gave arms to LTTE against IPKF. In 89-90 turned on the sinhalese and killed their youth, tortured in Batalanda. Unilaterally tried to give ISGA to LTTE, which out even cabinet or president approval of CFA. I say he has been acting more than a dictator alright.

Your subsevience to Ranil has all the hallmarks of a political slave. Despite all evidence, you cannot think beyond Ranil or his ex-crooks in SJB, and you have the audacity to come and lecture on governance, while at the same time advocating dictatorship. Thankfully the Sri Lankan people are better endowned with political acumen than you!

I said I dont care if he was there or not. I voted to AKD to not to see him or his family playing raban in awurudu festivities, but to look in to far more serious issues.

But if you want to nit pick, go ahead :ROFLMAO:
