The 2 British men who are leading the rescue operation are John Volanthen and Rick Stanton. They are universally regarded as the best cave divers in the world. They are the first port of call for governments around the world to lead rescue missions & do not seek fame, money or praise. Selfless heroes.Rick Stanton is a retired firefighter awarded honors for bravery in rescuing people from a burning building. John Volanthen has been recognized with honors by France, Mexico, UK and others for his bravery in cave rescue missions. The risk these men took to save these boys is nothing short of awe-inspiring. The support they received from international divers & Thai Navy Seals was beautiful. The best of humanity.
Saman Guran (ex Thai Navy SEAL) gave up his life so that the trapped kids and the coach could have enough supply of oxygen which had fallen to 15% in their part of the cave. Petty Officer Saman Gunan lost consciousness on his way out of the Tham Luang cave complex, where he had been delivering air tanks, and died shortly after.
The Coach! Ekapol Chanthawong lost his whole family as a kid. He trained as a monk & then devoted his life to helping kids. He kept these 12 children alive in a cave by teaching them meditation, giving all his food and most of his water to them for 9 days. He is only 25. Remember him!
This mission probably wouldn't have started without him. He's a British explorer who has discovered this cave before. He was the one who wrote the map for the rescue team and the one who wrote the letter asking for help from the 3 British divers (the world's best cave divers)
People are coming from hundreds of kilometers away on bikes or cycles just for cooking and delivering food for the rescue team for free for 2 weeks and counting.
She is the owner of the local washing machine store. She and her team of cleaners have been doing free-washing and dry cleaning of the rescue team's and divers' clothes everyday.
The farmers who sacrificed their fields so that the water could be pumped out from the caves. They have lost an year's worth of produce and yet they have absolutely no regrets. Rather they want to do more.
The hundreds of volunteers who have been working non-stop for the past two weeks. They come in all shapes and sizes.
The small business owner of diving gear and oxygen cylinders who gave it all for free to the Thai and international cave divers for the rescue mission. Remember these are not companies or corporations. They are SMEs at best.
She realized that the Muslim cave divers needed Halal food. She and her team has been cooking for them Halal food non-stop for the past two weeks...for free.

අවසානයේ ලෝකයම සැනසුම් සුසුම් හෙළමින් ඒ අපූර්ව ක්රියාන්විතය නිමාවිය.වල්ඌරු කණ්ඩායම (Wild Boar) යහතින් හිරුඑළිය දුටුවෝය.මුලින්ම ගණන් බැලූ පරිදි මේ නසරානී ගැටවුන් ටික බේරා ගැනීමට මාස ගණනාවක් යා යුතුව තිබුණි.තවද නොබෝ දිනකින් කඩා වැටීමට නියමිත මහා මෝසම් වැසි හේතුවෙන් ඔවුන් රැදී සිටි ගුහාව දක්වා වතුර පිරීමට නියමිතව තිබුණි.අමිහිරි හා අවසනාවන්ත ඉරණමක ඉඟි පළවෙමින් තිබුණි.බ්රිතාන්ය ජාතික කිමිදුම් කරුවන් විසින් යම් හෝඩුවාවක් සොයා ගන්නා විට දරුවන් අතුරුදහන් වී දින දහයක්ද ඉක්ම ගොස් තිබුණි.
මේ ළමයින් හා ඔවුන්ගේ 25 වියැති පුහුණුකරුවා රැදී සිටි ගුහාවට යමෙකුට ළගාවීමටනම් ජලයෙන් පිරුණු හා මිනිසකුගේ ශරීරයටත් වඩා පළලින් අඩු පටු උමං මාර්ගයක කිලෝ මීටර් හතර හමාරක් යා යුතුව තිබුණි.ඒ වෙත ලගා වී ආපසු පොළව මතට ඒමට අඩුවශයෙන් පැය 11ක් ගතවෙයි.එය සැබැවින්ම ජීවිතය හා මරණය අතර සටනකි.සිද්ධියට ලැබී තිබුණු ලෝක අවධානය අනුව මේ එක් අයෙකුගේ හෝ ජීවිතයට යම් අනතුරක් වීම තායිලන්ත රජය අති සංවේදී කාරණයක් සේ සැළකීය.
ලෝක ඉතිහාසයේ මෙතෙක් සිදුකෙරුණු අති දුෂ්කරම වූ ගලවා ගැනීමේ මෙහෙයුම සාර්ථකත්ව නිමා කිරීමට මනුෂ්ය සංහතියට අද හැකිවිය. ඇමෙරිකාව, බ්රිතාන්යය, ඔස්ට්රේලියාව ආදී රටවල් වල විශේෂඥ පිරිස් ප්රදේශයට ළගා වී තිබුණි.බොහෝ රටවල් මේ මොහොත මිනිස් සංහතියේ සංධිස්ථානයක් සේ සළකා කටයුතු කළහ.
තායිලන්තය ථෙරවාදී බෞද්ධ රටකි.අපේ උපසම්පදා ක්රම පැමිණියේද හිතවත් තායිලන්තයෙනි.එරට බෞද්ධ අබෞද්ධ සියළු දෙනා දින ගණනාවක් දරුවන් වෙනුවෙන් ආගමික කටයුතු කළහ.බෞද්ධ භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේලා තමාගේ ආධ්යාත්මික වපසරිය ලෙන් දොර අසළ සිට මුදා හැරියේය.බුරුමයේ සිට වැඩම කළ විශේෂ හිමිනමක් ආගමික කටයුතු කිරීමට පැමිණීම ලෝකයේම අවධානයට ලක්විය.පාප් වහන්සේ වතිකානුවේ සිට දරුවන් වෙනුවෙන් යාඥා කළහ.මුස්ලිම් හා හින්දු ආගමික නායකයන් පූජා පැවැත්වීය.
මේ දිනවල පැවැත්වෙන පාපන්දු ලෝක කුසලානය දෙවෙනි තැනට දමමින් ලෝකයේ බොහෝ ජනමාධ්ය මේ සිද්ධියට ප්රමුඛත්වය දී තිබුණි.අපද බෞද්ධ රටක් වූවත් මෙරට ජනමාධ්යට කටගැස්මක් වී ඇති දේශපාලන නරිනාටක හා පාතාල සෙල්ලම් දිනකට ඉවත හෙළීමට අපේ ජනමාධ්යය නම් කිසිසේත්ම මැළිවූ බවක් පෙණුනි.මේ අති සංවේදී සිදුවීම මෙරට මාධ්යන්ට තත්පර කිහිපයක පුවතක් පමණක් විය.මෙවැනි වාර්තාකරණයන් වැදගැම්මකට නැතැයි යමෙකුට තර්ක කළ හැකිය.නමුත් ලෝකය පුරා දෝරෙ ගලා යැවිය යුතු මානව ප්රේමයේ සියුම් තැන් උද්දීපනය කිරීමට මෙය ත්රාසජනක සිනමා පටයක් මෙන් වාර්තා කළ හැකිව තිබුණි.
අපේ අතිජාත සියම් දේශය තිගැස්සී සිටි මේ මොහොතේ බෝධිපූජාවක් හෝ තැබීමට අපට අමතක විය.(කවුරුන් හෝ එසේ කළාත් විය හැක.) කෙසේ නමුත් මේ අවස්ථාව ආවරණය කිරීමට කිසිම ජනමාධ්යකට එරට බලධාරීන් ඕනෑවට වඩා අවසර දුන්නේ නැත.ජනමාධ්ය වුවද කැමරා උස්සගෙන එතැන මොර දෙන්නට ගියේ නැත.මෙහෙයුමේ ප්රධානියාගේ රෙද්ද පල්ලේ රිංගා මාධ්ය හැදුනුම්පත් පෙන්වා ඉල්ලන් කන්නටද කිසිවෙක් එහි නොවීය.සියල්ලෝ ඉවසීමෙන් සිටියහ.එහෙත් ඔවුහු කැමරා අටවා ගෙන සජීවී විකාෂණ ලබා දෙමින් සිටියහ.සමහර රූප රාමු පැය ගණන් එකම රූපරාමුවකට සීමා වී තිබුණි.
තවද ඔවුන් එරට අගමැතිවරයාට හෝ ආණ්ඩුවට දෙහි කපමින් සිටියේද නැත.පුහුණුකරුවාගේ අගමුල අවුස්සමින් ඔහු මිනීමරුවකු කරන්නට ගියේ නැත. හය හතර නොතේරෙන දරුවන් පිරිසක් ආරක්ෂා කරමින් ලෝකය තමා සොයා මේ අන්ධකාර ආගාධයට එනතෙක් මේ තරුණ පුහුණුකරුවා විශිෂ්ඨ සේවයක් කළ බව එරට පිළිගත්තේය.වර්ෂ 1972 දී අන්දීස් කඳුවැටියේ හැපී කඩා වැටුණු ගුවන් යානයේ සිටි උරුගුවේහි පාසැල් රග්බි කණ්ඩායමේ නායක නන්දෝ පරාදෝ මෙන් මේ තරුණයා ධෛර්යය සම්පන්නව සිටියේය.
තවද ගුහාව තුළ සිටින ළමයින්ගේ ගෙවල් වලට ගොස් දෙමාපියන්ගේ කඳුළු විකිනීමට කිසිවෙකු කටයුතු නොකළේය.ඔවුන්ව දුරකතන වලින් සම්බන්ධ කරමින් මාධ්ය සාකච්ඡා තබන්නට රංජන්ලාත් එහි නොසිටියේය.ගුහාව අස්සට රිංගන්නට තෙවරප්පෙරුමලාත් නොසිටියේය.(ඔහුට කරන අගෞරවයක් නොවේ)
තායිලන්ත අගමැතිවරයා දින ගණනාවක් අදාල උමං ප්රදේශය වූ චියෑන් රායි ප්රදේශයේ රැඳී සිටියේය. ඒ ළගම සිට මෙහෙයුම් වලට ධෛර්යය ලබා දුන්නේය.දෙමාපියන් කෑම බීම සාදාගෙන උමග අසළ දරුවන් එන තෙක් බලා සිටියෝය.දරුවන්ගේ පාසැල ඒ වෙනුවෙන් අනෙකුත් සියළු වැඩ නවත්වා තිබුණි.එසේම ලෝක පාපන්දු සම්මේලනය පවා සසල වී තිබුණි. මේ පිරිස වෙනුවෙන් රුසියාවේ පැවැත්වෙන පාපන්දු ලෝක කුසලානයේ අවසාන මහා තරගයේ ආසන හා ගුවන් ටිකට්පත් වෙන්කොට ගෙන ඔවුහු නොඉවසිලිමත්ව බලා සිටියහ.
ලෝක ඉතිහාසයට එක්වූ මේ උදාර ක්රියාන්විතය වෙනුවෙන් තායිලන්ත නාවුක සීල් නිලධාරියකු වූ සමන් කුනාන් තම වටිනා ජීවිතය පූජා කොට තිබුණි.ඔහු දෙව්ලොව ඉපදීම නියතය.දින ගණනාවක් දරුවන් සමග සිටිමින් ඔවුන්ගේ සෞඛ්ය ගැන වග බලාගත් ඕස්ට්රේලියානු ජාතික දොස්තර හැරිස්ටද ඉතිහාසයේ පිටුවක් වෙන් වනු ඇත.පුටුවක අයිතියටත් වැඩ වරන සමහර දොස්තරමහත්වරුන්ට ඔහු මහඟු ආදර්ශයකි.
අද හවස් වන විට මේ බිම්ගෙයි සිරකරුවන් දොළොස් දෙනා හා ඔවුන්ගේ අපාය සහාගත පුහුණුකරුවා ලෝකයට විවර විය.වඩාත්ම දුර්වලව සිටියේ දරුවන් නොව පුහුණුකරුවාය.ඒ ඔහු තම ආහාර සීමාකරමින් ඒවාද දරුවන්ට ලබාදීම නිසාය.අපායේ සිට දෙව්ලොවට ආ මේ පින්වන්තයින් පැය එකොළහක නගර සංචාරයක් ගෙන යෑමට බලධාරීන් කටයුතු කිරීමට නියමිතය.කිසිවෙක් කිසිවෙකුට ආඩපාලි නොකියමින් මේ මහා පුන්යකර්මය සාර්ථකත්ව නිම කිරීමට මිනිස් සංහතියට හැකිවීම එක්තරා දුලබ භාග්යයකි.එසේම හදවත මොහොතකට නතර කරවන්නකි.
