Happy to hear that, good, working in a civil engineering construction company?. If so try to join projects estimation team. They are the people who start the project at the initial stage, you can enjoy you life with luxury, company account. Thanks bro. However, I don't like that lifestyle of a civil engineer in SL. What I experienced was 98% (or may be 100%) of the Civil Engineer positions are lack of something in that list I mentioned above, in any stage of their work life. Don't you see that?
I worked as a site engineer in two big, well-known construction companies in SL, and an well-known international firm.(a consultancy and design firm) And I did some contract works within this period. I have dealt with 100s of professionals in this period, and I could see my future through them if I stay there.
I worked very hard in the first 3 years, but I feel it's not worth. I lost so much of money, time and happiness and became frustrated. So I migrated, because there were no options. I'm very happy about my decision to migrate(because that's the best decision that I could take at the time). I didn't have any intension to migrate before. Never.
Currently, I work for a very good organisation, yet unhappy of being a civil engineer.
So my advice is for any person who wants to be a civil engineer, do Civil Engineering(or any other thing) if and only if you are passionate about it.
NOTHING LESS, NOTHING MORE. ONLY IF YOU ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT IT. SPECIALLY IN A FIELD LIKE CIVIL ENGINEERING.
Sorry to hear that! So bad the life? My carrier as a civil engineer, very successful, enjoyed nice life style, met a lot of different people, earn more than enough, earn PR couples of countries.P*ka thamayi, kisima wadakata nathi jeewithayak. Awurudu 40 wenakota helth and family dekama awula hugak civil unge.
