ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s foreign exchange revenue from tourism rose to $2.17 billion in the first eight months of 2024 with a 66.1 percent jump from the same period last year while the arrivals also gained 50.7 percent, the central bank said, quoting tourism promotion authorities.

August arrivals were up 20.7 percent to 164,609, compared to the same month a year earlier.
