Sri Lanka didnt fall into this hell hole overnight. It happened slowly over time without anyone even realizing.
Both the politicians and the people are responsible. You cant just fix this current situation using කතරගම දෙවි හාස්කම්.
Think of Sri Lanka like a patient. Every politician is a scalpel and every person is a safety pin.
Over the years this patient Sri Lanka has been stabbed by countless scalpels and safety pins willingly or unwillingly.
Now the patient has deep cuts and wounds with infections like gangrene, sepsis, and other serious issues all untreated and ignored. No real medical care.
Now politicians show up offering different රට මාසයෙන් ගොඩ ගන්නා ක්රම.
Some bring plasters, bandages, iodine-povidone, painkillers, antibiotics. But all of that is just temporary stuff to keep the patient barely alive. It doesn’t really work.
Someone needs to step up clean the wounds properly, one by one, with care and patience. Then slowly nurse Sri Lanka back to health.
But this isnt an easy job. And it cant be done in a මාසෙන් or දින සීයෙන්. Sri Lanka needs a leader who looks far into the future not just the next election. And the people need to be patient too.
