People need to pay tax to run a country efficiently. The problem in Sri Lanka is nobody wants to pay tax but they want all the social benefits. Just look at the tax rate in Australia, income is calculated from all sources including bank interest. There is also a Medicare levy of 2% of your taxable income.

Of course. But the Australian government deploy that tax income properly and people gets all the facilities in return.
