හරිම කරදරයක් උනානෙ මේක. Tax ගන්න ඕන. ඒත් මේ වගෙ EV, Solar items වගේ එවට tax ගහන්නෙ නැතුව ඒව motivate කරන්න ඕන.

My only issue is why Day time charging is not encouragedFirst , there are considerable amount of people who installed Solar for EV charging. So extra 300 MW due to EV is false. This false was spread to increase rates and also create jealousy or animosity against EV owners . You can see the tone of some comments on this for example.
EV can be charged after 10 pm not during peak for logistical reasons. This is the time most EVs are idle in any country! and charging is done.
My only issue is why Day time charging is not encouraged as most of the day time generation is renewal (solar/hydro). Govt purchase a unit at Rs 19 and can be given with similar markup during peak and if this is done most charging will only be during day and excess solar energy is utilised .
Ever heard of something called batteries ?I'm gonna defend this decision. I think it's a good decision.
EVs should be charged at home, ideally with time of use billing. Peak time is 6-10PM, which the CEB cannot rely fully on renewable energy.
Charge your fucking EVs at home over night. It's much more convenient and that's how EVs are meant to be used. Do NOT charge them during peak times.
Corporate/govt ffices should also have EV charging facilities in their parking lots.
DC Fast charging should be the last resort, and should be avoided as much as possible.

Yes exactly.ගල් අඟුරු ඩීසල් පුච්චල EV දුවන එක discourage කරන්න ඕන
Dude I drive an EV here, got rooftop solar with a 10 kWh LiFePo4 battery at my place in Sri Lanka, and have invested a considerable amount on Windforce. So yes, I have heard about batteries.Ever heard of something called batteries ?
If solar powered batteries were cheaper, people would utilise those. But the phucking government wants both rawula and kenda. So they do not reduce taxes on batteries but keeps on taxing EV owners.
true. u hv smart charging option. u dont hv to wake up at mid night to charge the car. Just plug it and select time to start chargingI'm gonna defend this decision. I think it's a good decision.
