Cricket has not been politicized however politics between players should be stopped immediately, SLFP MP and former cricket captain Sanath Jayasuriya said today in parliament.
In his statement he added that it was unfair to blame the recent losing streak of the national team on the Sports Minister or the Government.
This is almost the same team that worked its way up to the World Cup final in 2011 except for a few changes, he added.
Hence it’s the bad performance of the players that has led to the losing streak, he claimed.
According to the statement he made that he expressed the problems between players of the team leading for the losing streak of the team.
