කාන්තන්ගේ පුවත ගැන නාමල්ගෙන් මාධ්‍යයට තර

පොදු අපේක්ෂක සම මාධ්‍ය ප්‍රකාශකවරුන් විසින් හෙළිදරව් කළ තාරුණ්‍යයට හෙටක් සංවිධානයේ සභාපති නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ මහතා සහ කොටි සංවිධානයේ ජාත්‍යන්තර මූල්‍ය අංශ ප්‍රධානී එමිල් කාන්තන් අතර සිදුවූ ගනු දෙනුවේ පුවත ප්‍රචාරය නොකරන ලෙස නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ ජනමාධ්‍ය ආයතනවලට තර්ජනය කර තිබේ.

ඒ අනුව මාධ්‍ය ආයතන බොහොමයක් එම පුවත විකාශය කිරීමෙන් වැළකුණු අතර එය විකාශය කළ නාලිකාද පුවත තුළ නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ මහතාගේ නම හෝ එමිල් කාන්තන් සමග සිටින ඡායාරූපයේ නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ මහතා සගවා පෙන්වීමට කටයුතු කර තිබිණි. එමෙන්ම මාධ්‍ය සාකච්ඡාවේදී අනුර දිසානායක මන්ත්‍රීවරයා සහ මංගල සමරවීර මන්ත්‍රීවරයා තාරුණ්‍යයට හෙටක් සංවිධානය පිළිබඳව හා නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ පිළිබදව සිදුකළ ප්‍රකාශ කිසිවක් පළ නොකිරීමට එම මාධ්‍යායතනවලට සිදුව තිබුණි.

The complaint against Sri Lankan Presidential candidate General Sarath Fonseka's son-in-law Danuna Tillakeratne over a weapons deal has been withdrawn by the CID, the candidate said on Wednesday.

Gen. Fonseka told at a meeting with the Tamil and Muslim business community this morning that his son-in-law didn’t go to the CID office as summoned because he was informed that the complaint had been withdrawn and there was no necessity to call over at the CID office for an inquiry.

"CID officials have found out that there is no basis for the allegations (over a weapons contract)," he said. Government politicians have claimed that Tillkeratne, who lives in the US, won some defence contracts while Gen Fonseka was the army commander.

Gen Fonseka said police and other authorities are gradually showing reluctance to carry out, what he described as, ‘illegal orders’ because there was a swing in the support for him across the country.​
