there are many kind of anteaters and this one is
Pangolin one.
what the english name for this beast ?
It is indeed a rare sighting& the photos are great too
But I do think Armadillo is not the apt English word for this animal. As far as I know Armadillos are native to the Americas & are not Asian.
I think this is a scaly ant-eater commonly known as Pangolin.
Pangolins resemble Armadillos to some extent and are native to many Asian countries
The Indian Pangolin (Manis crassicaudata)inhabits parts of India, Pakistan&Sri Lanka. It devours termites &ants with relish
I think this is a Scaly ant eater/Pangolin
