Prototypes of this was built by German car manufacturers many years ago.... Probably Mercedes. The Egyptians developed a similar method decades ago by hydraulically lowering a set of small wheels which could be turned by 90 degrees so that the car could be crab parked.
So the idea isn't new. But full credit to them for bringing it to the market.
