Dear Sir,
TELECATING OF ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP
This is regarding your restriction over telecasting of ICC cricket match on channel eye. First of all I would like to express my fortiori objection to your organization in this regard on behalf of all dialog TV (DTV) customers.
As a profit aspire company we know that you will implement various business strategies and promotions to increase your profit margins. There is no argument on that.
But on virtuous basis this is an unacceptable situation. As you aware most of the dialog TV customer’s impulse to get new connection to watch the local TV channels clearly, not the CNN, NHK etc.
ICC cricket world cup is one of the most important events to Sri Lankans, because it is the only international game event that a national Team has been succeeded. This time it’s more important than last occasions due to it’s held on our region of the Earth. Therefore every one wishes to see this event on live telecast, because it’s a limited chance everyone to watch the match on ground.
On the same time we can’t understand why SLRC (Sri Lanka Rupavahini cooperation) request to stop telecasting ICC world cup matches through DTV, because even it telecast through DTV still the telecasting is going under Channel Eye logo. So how its affect to SLRC?. ,If it is effect to SLRC, why only channel eye, what about “Rupavahini”.
One side you block the channel eye, at the same time you are not asking to buy one channels, but two channels by paying 199/- rupees, which is 28% addition to Pearl package customers. This is what we call “Money Suckers”. It is acceptable if it’s a 5% addition. But 28% is completely out of the range of acceptability.
As a major multi national company operated in Sri Lanka and by depend on Sri Lankans money, we believe that you should have think twice behalf of customers & nation Sri Lanka, before implement your business strategies. We really disappointed about your service and customer caring.
We hope you will understand the situation and will take necessary action to keep your customers satisfactorily in the future.
