can be due to several reasons..
1.thyroid problem...overactive thyroid..
2.some other problem such as phaechromocytoma..
3.heart problem itslef..where the rhythm is altered..
being excited may raise a normal heart rate upto around 100..but 120s is bit too much..
so, the best thing is to got a doctor and and get yourself checked..
he may want to examine you as well as order some blood tests, as well as may be ECG and echocardiogram too, depending on the examination findings..
