    After the 19th amendment, Gota does not have much power. There is no pure executive president anymore as it used to be before. Even, phottuwa got 2/3, Mahinda would not abolish 19th amendment completely. If he does that, then it would be the end of Namal and most of his goons.
    That's my point. GOTA said he would get rid of it and we have to give him the 2/3 to do it. In a country like SriLanka we need a pure executive president.

    I agree, but he would not get it back as long as Mahinda runs the Parliament. Simply, why would Mahinda give all powers back to Gota and put the full stop on Namal's political future?

    We can speculate all we want but the reality is GOTA was given power to do what he said, n the logical decision is to give him the power in the parliament to do it. That's all I'm saying
