This is an old video. Phage viruses that target bacteria has been known for a century. I n 1915, an English bacteriologist named William Twort discovered that bacteria in his lab had a problem. Two years later, the French-Canadian microbiologist Félix d’Hérelle independently realized what the problem was: bacteria could contract viruses, which he dubbed bacteriophages.
The Israeli's are doing research into these in a big way. Its rumoured that they have developed these for warfare as well. But they have also used it against in the treatment of antibiotic resistant bacterial infections. Lost cause patients had a recovery chance of near 90%. It's termed as the compassionate use of bacteriophages. There's also the Russians, US and many others working on these.
Still mostly experimental and quite expensive. Hope that it will be used for the good of the humankind. It's a cleaner and a better way to deal with drug resistant bacteria.
according to google:
Botulinum toxin is regarded as the most lethal substance known. It is estimated that the human LD50 for inhalation botulism is 1 to 3 nanograms of toxin/kilogram body mass.
It's not about toxicity or lethality. It's the deadliest by the
numbers that it kills.... Merciless killer of bacteria in huge numbers.
