That's what you like to think. Even the most talented ones get jobs that only needs a minute amount of their skills. And they are paid a shit salary compared to other countries. How can you be sure that crammers end up with low salary jobs? What is your evidence? the problem is that the son of the minister or mudalali ALWAYS ends up in a higher position than the engineer, what ever the qualification of the engineer. Private sectors take 2nd upper people because they don't have jobs to suit the best people out of UOM. Those are the guys who become research scientists and build knowledge. And these are the guys who leave the country to achieve that goal.
Basic of a CEB engineer is much better than that of a doctor, who is trained more. Doctor only gets 26,100 basic salary, which is GROSSLY inadequate. And it does not change in the private sector as well.
If a talented person was not like a job by under some one, next thing is he will start it is own business in engineering field. Most engineering services in SL started like that (The he become a Mudalali? ).
You can not measure engineers from the methods you use to measure doctors.
Imagine if you have a company what sort of engineer will you take? crammers or practical guy?
The thing is I selected Engineering occupation Coz I love it. I know there may be people who may take salaries more than me. But I wud have Job satisfaction which is the best.

YEah may be...!! Goverment University students must think that not everyone can get a degree buy paying it alot of money...even in private UNI...yet they have to gain their knowledge to pass each and every exam and finally to get the degree...Private University is a good solution and they keep their status and standard too!!!

Still miles short of the point. Even as their own companies Engineers earn far less than their true earning potential (if right kinds of jobs were available). And these "crammers" are the ones who become scientists and create new knowledge. SL has no jobs suitable for them, even in private sector. In developed countries these guys have "gold collar" jobs opposed to "white collar" of normal engineers.
