A series of wrong decisions done since November 2019 had led us to this position. In fact we were in same bad situation in 2015-16 too. This was the reason for MR to call the election one year early as there were significant debt repayments from 2015 . Just mismatch of long term projects funded by short terms Bonds!
There was no accountability for ISBs they were spend lavishly and corruption too.
Some of these projects did not get any return eg Mattala , Hambantotal.... Even Highways are long terms projects but funded by short term loans and then corruption! MR-GR are not the only ones to blame Wimal, Cabral, Viyathmaga, are all responsible but when the ship is sinking Rats are ....
It is wrong to blame one person though he is equally responsible for this position under MR's time. But he was not the immediate cause of problem as he became FM after resignation of MR.
