Dan obathuma 4K balanna yanne kohomada?
Film eka kochchara quality unath 5GB wage 4K rip balala wadak na. Quality loss. Details na.

    1. Use original disks with a good player. (Most prefer Panasonic UB 820)
    2. If you ride high seas ;) , try to get a good rip. At least 40GB+

Some best ones I saw (not in any order),
    1. Ready Player One
    2. Prey
    3. Abyss
    4. Lawrance of Arabia (old one. But looks great)
    5. John Wick (All 4)

Some say Blade Runner and 2001: Space Odyssey are great. But Haven't watched them yet

Ah, I see you are going to download remuxes

Check whether your TV is capable of playing such big files. Most of the TVs + Entry level TV boxes stutter when try to play high bitrate files. In that case, get something from QXR. Which as good quality:size ratio (But won't be great as a remux)

If you are looking for a good TV box, either Apple TV 4k 3rd Gen or nVidia Shield Pro.
Either use an external hard disk or hard wired ethernet.

Yeah I've already asked for sample files to send my friend. When he's about to buy the TV I'll ask him to run some of the sample files and test if those files are compatible before buying the TV out.

I've requested the samples with normal Audio and Dolby in separate files. As I've heard mostly the TVs cannot process the Dolby audio properly which makes the videos shutter and leads to graphic lags, anyways I'll test it out if it's true or false as they say.

Also he's yet to update me with the model numbers and the manufacturer year and other details. Waiting till Black Friday offers. 🤗

What’s your opinion on open matte versions
TBH, no idea. Never looked into that. Will have a look. Thanks!

A TVOS is not that capable of playing a high bitrate file. You better opt out for a TV box. Since you are going to get remux files, it's better be an nVidia shield pro or ATV.

If you are concerned about file size, try downloading AV1 files. Most of the HW right now is not that powerful enough to play the format. But I tried with ATV with Infuse and it played really well.

Near remux quality file in AV1 format is around 10GB wheres remux is around 50-60GB (this is just rough numbers. Sizes can vary depending on number of things)
