Shame on you guys. I understand that you may not enjoy the music that we play to help maintain focus and motivation. However, it is important to consider that these drivers have long hours and often have to deal with challenging road conditions and traffic. Listening to those music can be a way for them to stay alert and focused on the road, which is essential for the safety of all passengers.

Posh typical sinhalu, it is important to remember that these drivers are human beings with their own preferences and needs. While it may be inconvenient for you to listen to music that you don't enjoy, it is a small sacrifice to make for the sake of the driver's well-being and safety.
In the future, if you find yourself on a bus with music that you don't like, I would suggest bringing a pair of headphones and listening to your own music or audio content. This way, you can still enjoy your own preferences without disrupting the driver's routine or distracting them from their important task of safely transporting fucking passengers.

There are a few problems with this.

    1. The music doesn't make the driver more focused on the road in hindsight it makes the driver more distracted in my opinion.
    2. Bro how the fuck does that kind of loud music help them to "stay alert" you can't even fucking here the honking from other vehicles bc of that shit.
    3. While the drivers are also humans the passenger is their customer. So your first priority is the customer, not you.
    4. You can't really use headphones because the sound is astronomically loud. And you will fucking get judged by the people around you and that makes most of us insecure.

I appreciate your perspective, but I disagree with all of your points.

    1. While it may seem counterintuitive, studies have shown that listening to music can actually help drivers maintain their focus and alertness on the road. Of course, this is dependent on the type of music being played and the volume at which it is played.

    2. I understand your concern about the music being too loud, but it's important to note that many bus drivers play music at a reasonable volume that doesn't interfere with their ability to hear the road and other vehicles. Additionally, there are laws and regulations in place in most countries that require drivers to maintain a safe level of noise in their vehicles.

    3. While it is true that passengers are customers and their comfort and safety should be a priority, it's also important to consider the well-being and safety of the driver. A driver who is fatigued or distracted is a danger to everyone on the road, so anything that can help them stay focused and alert is ultimately beneficial for everyone.

    4. I understand your concerns about being judged by other passengers for wearing headphones, but it's important to prioritize your own comfort and safety as well. If you feel uncomfortable or distracted by the music being played, it's better to find a solution that works for you, even if it means wearing headphones. Ultimately, the judgment of others should not be the deciding factor in your own personal choices.

No more loud music inside private buses

COLOMBO (News 1st) – Minister Mahinda Amaraweera has instructed the National Transportation Commission to ban the use of loud music and the display of videos inside Private Buses, which cause severe inconvenience to passengers.

National Transport Commission advised passengers to call the NTC Hotline 19 55 to lodge their complaints if private buses play loud music.
Based on public complaints, the NTC will be empowered to take strict action against Bus Drivers and Conductors.

The general public can also file complaints against SLTB or Private Buses which operate in a very lethargic manner or in a reckless manner.

The Ministry of Transport Service Management said a bundle of 1000 standard classical songs will be introduced to all bus operators which they can play during their journeys.
The Ministry said only these songs can be played in buses from January 1st, in a manner which does not inconvenience the general public.
    https://www.newsfirst.lk/2020/01/01/no-more-loud-music-inside-private-buses/

In some countries there is a committee that approves the music that's played inside buses. Nobody can play any other music or songs. :-)

Ok at this point you are repeating what you said earlier.

    1. I'm referring to this scenario where the driver is playing some loud-as-shit music.
    2. Again it's the same shit. According to the person who posted the thread the music was not low.
    3. If the driver is tired and shit like that then he should not be driving in the first place.
    4. The driver is responsible for maintaining a comfortable place for the passenger so they would not have to go out of their comfort zone in the first place

At the end of the day no matter what it is it's a business so they have to prioritize the customer.

plus if the driver wants to stay focused by listening to loud music why not he arrange it only for him self? No need to forcefully make it heard by all the passengers.

I understand your frustration about the loudness. However, it's important to remember that bus drivers are also human beings who have their own preferences and needs. While it may be inconvenient for some passengers to listen to music they don't enjoy, they can't use earbuds, headphones or whatever the fuck, it's important drivers to be able to hear all the sounds around them in order to ensure a safe ride for all passengers.
