I understand the politics involved, but the point remains. For the most part the western hemisphere plays by the rules, and when they screw up at least they tend to make amends for their assholery afterwards. Countries like China, NK, Russia or even Pakistan are shitty at accountability and borderline evil when it comes to human rights of their own people (actually I don't think any government cares about their people seriously, but boy are we exceptionally bad at it). So, from an objective standpoint, the west has got their act straight and in doing so, has the moral high ground in contemporary politics. When I say west, mostly Europe. Maybe not the United States.
If you want to get into the crux of the matter, don't you think even UNHRC allegations against our country have some basis for the most part? Those didn't fall out of the sky.
Saying that UN is all about bossing around other nations on fictitious grounds is fundamentally a lie. They do sometimes boss around, but they have enough grounds to do so.
