I compiled it phrase by phrase because it needs to be written in a single sentence. Yes it should be "see" not "sees." However your first sentence doesn't actually mean what's in the Sinhala sentence in normal use. It does, but it doesn't exactly fit in. It better be said "I haven't..." So it goes " I haven't learned recently/ I didn't learn recently/ I didn't get to know recently..." etc.

A bit about translating like this: in your English sentence you have used "had a boy...been seen" which is alright in this context. However, it may imply that the monitor and vomitting thing had happened before the snake bite run. Not while running. So it should be changed.
The issue is you thinking in Sinhala. "Dakala thibuna nam" which is an ambiguous expression. But you know what. If this is some English exercise it's alright for fun, but actually you're missing out a lot. Try to use any language as it's normally spoken
