තැටිය රත් වි තිබියදීත්, රොටියක් පුච්චන්නට අවස්ථාවක් තිබියදීත්, තැටිය නිවාදැමූ පියකු සහ දියණියක් අද උදෑසන කටුගස්තොට ශ්රී රාහුල විදුහල අසල මා දුටුවෙමි.
On the roadside, amongst the steady flow of noisy vehicles and cusses made incoherent due to the makeshift masks, my eyes were drawn towards a commotion in front of the Primary Section of Rahula College in Katugastota, that was situated in the main road itself. The source of the commotion was a father; a father and his little girl, who were distributing free Jack Fruits to anyone and everyone.
During times when certain establishments and individuals see this epidemic as a marketing opportunity, these individuals thought different.
They saw this as an opportunity to to help everyone they could, in their own way; for it is those who are crowded into the same boat who share their pain.
It was perhaps, his only means of livelihood, yet, he was giving it away for free.
This act of kindness and generosity shone through as a single like a beacon of humanity through constant stormy torrents of immorality.
