wtf, it's frekkin rude to disturb a meal

Hmmm well I respect your right to make a point - not the attitude.

Would you rather stand your ground when a rabid dog is after you to bite you ?

    rabid-dogs.jpg

or even when a mosquito bites you would you simply not thrash it and wait compassionately till it finishes its feed ?

If your answer is YES, well then you truly amaze me.

if the dog escaped on it's own then it's ok, it's meant to be :baffled: but who are we to get in the way of nature..there are more dogs than pythons anyway. :dull:

Wow... That's some quantitative analysis of the matter ;).

Yet it does not quite sound fair does it ? So you would not mind being bitten by a snake ? I mean your rationale is that humans do outnumber snakes ehhh ?

of course there are more dogs :) Humans are on top of the food chain, it's unlikely that pythons will outnumber us..plus they are not as fit as us to survive..woe be them.

My previous point being, we shouldn't have sided with dogs against snakes..just because dogs are our best friends should not mean we are the same to them.

    think like a nazi.

and if you are going to take sides, at least wait for a bit and at least sea who's getting the edge of the game.

I wasn't quite taking any sides with a blind faith.

Was simply appreciating the fact we humans at times use our imagination and intellect to intervene with the nature in a positive/constructive manner rather than just being idle due to some belief or a rationale.

It's the same reason why we take medicine when we are sick. We could have just waited for nature to decide our fate otherwise.

imagination and intellect are going to be our undoing someday..snatching a hard earned meal (a dog which would rather be dead) off a being (a fiend in our imagination) is going to make us all feel better as humans..there are no monsters and preys..they are only so in our imaginations..we choose to side with one and call it intellect..:no:

which would be more beneficial to human. a dead dog, well fed python, and a bunch of rodents that survived to live another day

    or

a bunch of dead rodents, surviving python and a dog serving its master

python would not survive in your latter case..we need the python

so may I take the liberty to suggest dead rodents, a well fed python on dead rodents and dogs :) then again rodents may play more important a role in the eco system than we perceive.
