There are lot of questionable issues here,

1. The ancient Munneshwaram (Shiva) Kovil is against this. This sacrifice is only practiced by Kali-Amma cult.

2. IMO, this is cult rituals. Can't be defined as 'Religious rituals'.

3. Only the Vedic tradition practiced this stuff. Hinduism is 'Avihinsawadee' (influenced from Buddhism and Jaina traditions).

4. You need a permit to kill this number of Animals at the same time.

5. When the above question was asked from the police by newspapers, they slipped away saying that only 5-6 goats are prepared to be killed!

6. Small children were seen carrying animals to be killed. Even the professional butchers have decency not to bring minors in.

7. A Buddhist temple is located nearby (is it even possible to give a permit?).

8. Sinhala Buddhists were among the 'devotees'.

9. Even in India, this practice if illegal in most states.

10. Finally there's rumors that after the slaughter, a large amount of meat is given to police officers to keep this shit under the lid.

Those animals have a right to live.

The fact that president does not involve to stop this means he is directly allowing
this and recommending this.It's president's responsibility to stop this.If he is the leader
of us and the higest person among the us then tell him to stop it.

He is responsible for this, because he is not only responsible for the human beings who
are living in this country , because of his actions/statement are affected to those
animals too , he can't stay away from this responsibility.
